Timothy D. McGavern
President, CEO & Managing Member
Timothy D. McGavern serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Member of Engedi LLC. He provides executive leadership, strategic growth planning, business-development oversight, and partner alignment for Engedi's federal and commercial initiatives. His experience includes strategy, market positioning, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation, and growth-stage company development.
Prior to Engedi, Tim co-founded and led Triple M Worldwide Solutions following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force. Triple M supported large, mid-sized, and emerging defense contractors with specialized strategy, growth, and mission-support services. The company was acquired in 2019 and merged with AEVEX Aerospace Corporation, where Tim later served as Vice President of Strategy and supported the sale of AEVEX to a larger equity firm.
Tim served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as an operations officer, operations planner, and program manager. His career included leadership roles involving space and missile systems, large transport aircraft, munitions and weapons development, fighter aircraft programs, intelligence support, and special operations programs. A significant portion of his career was spent supporting Intelligence and Special Operations Forces, including service in a Tier One Special Mission Unit.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary's University.

Ronald “Tambrein” Bates
COO & Managing Member
Ronald “Tambrein” Bates serves as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Member of Engedi LLC. He leads operational assessment, program analysis, technology integration, compliance-oriented planning, organizational development, and execution. His work spans Engedi’s management systems, operational planning, and federal contracting readiness.
Prior to Engedi, Tambrein stood up and directed SOFWERX in Tampa, Florida from 2015 to 2020 under a partnership with the U.S. Special Operations Command. As Director of SOFWERX, he led a platform designed to accelerate delivery of innovative capabilities to USSOCOM through exploration, experimentation, assessment, and collaboration with academia, laboratories, private industry, and government stakeholders. During his tenure, SOFWERX grew an ecosystem of more than 45,000 partners and executed more than 60 Collaborative Project Orders with an aggregate value exceeding $200 million.
Before SOFWERX, Tambrein served as an Engineering Fellow with L3Harris Mission Integration, where he identified and developed operationally relevant airborne technologies, assessed component-level functionality and human-factors utility, supported modular system-of-systems integration, and provided operational red-team analysis of technical proposals and end-state interoperability.
Tambrein served 25 years in the U.S. Army, including approximately 20 years in special operations. His experience included operational assignments, research and development leadership, advanced technology integration, program management, cost containment, risk reduction, earned value management, and funding strategy development across multiple organizational investment requirements.

Waste-to-Energy Concept Development
Leadership experience includes supporting a spoke-and-wheel concept for waste-to-energy operations, including site-operation concepts, partner alignment, commercial structuring, tipping-fee considerations, and implementation planning.
